Tips on Making Sure Your Swing is Perfect

In our last blog, we talked about ways you can perfect the mechanics of your swing. Read on for more tips and tricks!
·         Consistent rhythm and tempo is essential for keeping your backswing and downswing smooth.
·         When you are following through, make sure you end up with balancing about 90 percent of your body weight on your front foot.
·         Keep your head down and don’t hesitate during your follow through. Your club should reach shoulder height to help you get distance on the shot and to make sure it is straight.
·         Never overswing. Using a ton of power doesn’t guarantee that the shot will be clean and straight. In fact, this could have the opposite effect! Instead, focus on building a smooth swing that you can do each time.
·         Practice, practice, practice. Spending time at a driving range is the best way to perfect your swing and your shot.
·         Always check the alignment of your body and arms in relation to your golf club and your target.
·         Taking your time is a great way to ensure that your swing and shot will be perfect each time. This will allow you to get the proper positioning for your body and hands so that over time, all these things just become second nature.

Overall, getting a perfect golf swing is something that comes with time and commitment. It’s important getting the fundamentals down before anything.

Perfecting Your Swing

Welcome to the blog of Palm Beach Golf Center, the leading golf store in Florida and your source for all things golf! In this blog, we are going to discuss the ways you can improve the mechanics of your golf swing.
One of the hardest things a golfer faces, whether you’re a pro or a beginner, is establishing a consistent swing. However, like most things in life, perfecting your swing takes time and patience.
Pressure of Your Grip: when you are setting up to swing, you should grip the club in your fingers and not in your palm. Hold the club firmly; a grip pressure of about 5 (out of 10) is a good numerical measurement.
If you want more power and accuracy, take your overlapping grip and then move your left hand about a quarter-turn to the left.
Aim: Once your hands are where they need to be, position your club towards the hole. Your body should be parallel to the target line so that your left shoulder is facing the target and your left food is under your left shoulder. Make sure your feet are placed a shoulder length apart. Establishing proper alignment is crucial to achieving a straight shot.
For Right-Handed Swingers: If you are swinging right-handed, set the ball up just inside your left heel. Once you have this set up, your hands should be about an inch from the back of the ball with the golf club shaft in line with your hands. The club and the way you are standing should form a triangle.
Rotate Correctly: Your upper body; hands, arms, and shoulders should move together in one movement while you rotate your hips to the right. Once you are ready to downswing, you should make sure that the end of the shaft is pointing at the ball. By doing this, you can increase your chances of squaring the club face when you hit, ensuring a straight shot.
